Creating a comfortable area that will provide you with satisfactory rest at night is important so that you can have enough energy to enjoy your time outdoors and any activities you have planned. A tarp is important to protect your tent or sleeping bag, especially if the ground is wet. A sleeping pad is a great addition to make your sleep more comfortable. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag that will protect you adequately from the elements, especially if you will be experiencing cold nights. Cooking outdoor camping supplies may take up most of your room when packing, but camping cook ware sets that are nesting or fold up are available for easy storage. Some camp cooking sets can easily fit in a backpack, perfect for hikers, and include a pot, skillet, plate, mug, and utensils.
