Temecula RV Camping for Novices

from:

So, you've gone out and gotten yourself an RV and are ready to hit the roads to see some far off place. Maybe the Rockies, maybe Death Valley, maybe Temecula, California. Temecula? That's right: there's plenty to see in Temecula, and what's more, it is a good place to use as a home base for visitors who want to see both San Diego and LA. Plus, Temecula RV camping is one of the most affordable ways to see the Golden State.

Temecula RV camping takes place mostly at four or five RV parks in the greater Temecula area. These are Lake Skinner Maria, Outdoor Resorts, Tucalota Springs RV Park, and Vail Lake Resort. Each offers differing amenities, and you should contact them for rates to see which best suits your needs.

Once you have a place to stay during your Temecula RV camping trip, you can start planning where you want to visit in the city itself. While you may not have heard of Temecula's wines, they are acquiring a bigger and bigger name for themselves. The region around the city is especially suited to warmer grape varietals, such as the charismatic and fruity zinfindels that characterize local production, and its wines are well worth exploring for the aficionado and novice alike. Because the area is lower key than Napa and Santa Ynez, it has a more honest, down to earth feel. Visitors are advised to check the Temecula Wine Grower's Association before the Temecula RV camping trip for up to date information on tastings and the like.

If you are a dyed in the wool shopper, then taking your RV to Temecula has its benefits as well. The city has constructed a large shopping complex with various restaurants, a movie theatre, and tons of shops for you to peruse. It's an excellent way to one of your days Temecula RV camping.

Another sure to be popular destination in Temecula is the Splash Canyon Water Park. Currently under constructed in 2006, and slotted to be completed in 2007 the theme park will boast multiple slide and raft rides, tide pools, and sun bathing facilities to add a bit of fun in the sun to your Temecula RV camping experience.

Of course, one of the reasons for choosing Temecula as the home base for your California trip is that it is centrally located between San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County. So, by staying in one of the parks in Temecula, you can make day trips into LA or to the beaches of San Diego, and then come back to Temecula to rest.
